Biography
Jill Wick is a business psychologist who came to cybersecurity through twelve years in fraud prevention. She has seen how people are deceived in real cases, not in simulations. Today she brings that perspective to companies, universities and the media.
She is the author of the specialist book "Security-Awareness-Tools" (Springer) and the creator of QuarZone, a board game companies use for awareness campaigns and onboarding. She has appeared as an expert on Swiss national television (SRF Kassensturz), is a member of the Digital Society Initiative Cybersecurity at the University of Zurich.
Her approach: cybersecurity rarely fails because of technology. It fails because of how people decide under pressure. She explains attacks from the perspective of those who carry them out, and translates them for the people who need to defend against them.
